Our Trip to Kidzooona

Our second entry in this blog is our trip to Kidzooona in Robinsons Galleria Cebu. This place is one of my daughter’s favorite place “in the world”. Almost every weekend she asks me if she can go back to Kidzooona (her first play was last Dec 2015). And now, 2 months after her weekly requests, I finally gave in! And this is just her 2nd time to go inside this indoor amusement play area. See her biggest smile when we are about to enter her dream land. (I did not bring along her 1-yr old brother today. Sai will just eat all things he can get hold. Maybe next time, like 2 months from now. hehe…)

I also love this place. I enjoy playing here myself. During my time, there are no play areas like this, air-conditioned, lots of educational toys, little pretend shops, safe slides, foams all around to protect you from hitting your head if you fall. Here are some of their pretend play shops…

Of course, Rei’s favorite is the Ice Cream shop. She pretends to be the ice cream seller, asks for your order: “what’s your order mam?” My answer is always Cookies and Cream since it’s my favorite flavor. “Ok. Here’s your pink ice cream!”

The role play town. That’s what they call it. The place also has a supermarket, hospital, fire station, flower shop,  kitchen area and a little dining area for them to eat all their orders.

Most of the toys are made of wood. Some of these toys are from a famous toy company Bornelund (i think this is made in Japan). Here is a wooden dollhouse, my favorite. Wooden puzzles, trains, and some blocks made of wood. These toys will surely last longer and are not toxic, unlike plastics made from the big C. Hehe…

Most of the older kids likes to stay at the slides, pool of balls, and the hill-like jumping area. Rei also likes it here specially the spiral slide.

Children 12 years and below can enter the play area. Even babies can play here. Just be careful of some small toys that are choking hazards. Each child should be accompanied by an adult 18 years old and above. So I guess, teenagers are not welcome, aged 13 to 17. Hmmm… that’s just based on their regulations. Price is ok. P250 for 1 child and 1 adult. If there are 2 adults for a child (such as the very supportive mom and dad for their first child), a fee of P150 is required for the additional adult. Minimum play time is 90 minutes. Well that’s long. But for these little monstas, it’s very very short. Hehe… Socks are also required for both child and adult (you can buy socks from the counter if you are not able to bring one).

So that’s it. 90 minutes well spent at Kidzooona. You might expect to go out with a crying child with you since they will not want to leave the place. Enjoy!
