Our nineteenth entry in this blog is our trip to Turtle Bay Dive Resort in Tongo, Basdiot, Moalboal, Cebu. We went there with Papa Dave who went home in Cebu for Obon week holidays in Japan. We also spent these days with our AWS friends. We stayed at a garden-view family room (we only paid P4,360) located in one villa overlooking a private garden with children’s swings. But we did not use the swings in front of our room villa because it was rusty. hehe… The room is quite big with 1 queen size bed, 1 single size bed, and 1 foam bed for Ate Rei. Here is Sai on top of his pet cemented turtle, the mascot of the resort and some photos of the room. 🙂

Ate Rei and Sai loves the play area, as always. This is located near the pool.  Papa Dave also loves the play area for grownups. hehe… Lots of things you can play, billiards, ping-pong, foosball, etc.

I love the scenery. They have lots of places with swings where you can relax while watching the beach.  Here are some photos of the area towards the beach.  They also have a function room at the beach side.

The resort offers buffet breakfast. Not so many choices but it was enough to fill your tummy. Here are some photos of the gang having breakfast, and photos of the pool area and the resort’s front building where you can park your car. And oh! we had a surprise for Jesslee, a cake for his birthday!

Our favorite day was the day we went to the beach.  Since the resort does not have a very nice shore, we went to Basdaku area for a wide white-sand beach. Yay! Ate Rei did not mind the beach, she just kept on scooping sand towards her pail and looking for seashells. Sai was asleep at first, but when he woke up, immediately went to the beach with Papa.

We only stayed for 1 night. We had dinner at a nearby resto area (not so near since we still need to drive around 10 minutes) where there are lots of stores, bars, and food shops around. We dined at Veranda Kitchen ‘n Bar. Here are some photos of the gang. We hope this is just the first of many trips together.
