Our twenty third entry in this blog is our trip to Loboc River, also known as Loay River in Bohol. We had our sumptuous lunch while cruising the river. This is one of the major tourist destinations in Bohol. This lunch package (P450/person) is quite crowded during weekends. But you do not have to worry, since there are lots of shops around. You can look for some pasalubong while waiting for your turn to board one of their floating restaurants. Here is Rei running around the shops area and looking for food… hungry hungry! 🙂

Finally, after just 10 minutes of waiting at the shops, we are ready to board and eat! Here in the photo you can see 3 floating restaurants side by side. But there are lots of them waiting and some already sailed out. I’m pretty sure you will never run out of boats to ride. The hallway to the docks are now clean and new (unlike 10 years before, the last time I visited, it didn’t have covered paths, so not good when it rains).

It is very refreshing to eat here. Fresh air and delicious Filipino foods. A live local band is also aboard to entertain the diners. I like it when they sing local songs, the lyrics are funny. hehehe… 🙂 The floating restaurant will have a short stop at a floating stage where some locals entertain you with their songs and dances. Rei loves looking at them.

The Loboc River cruise usually runs for an hour or so back and forth. Make sure you add this tour to your itinerary when visiting Bohol. It’s something you don’t want to miss. And here is a photo of the gang enjoying everything at the cruise.

Busog! 🙂
