Our 36th entry in this blog is our trip to Hakone wherein we stayed at Hakone Hotel in Hakone-machi, Kanagawa, Japan. This is our first time to stay in a hotel in Hakone. We usually visit Hakone for one day only and made it sure to go home even when it is already late. But this trip is different because our dear Rei and Sai are with us. And since it’s Autumn Season, the day ends early and tends to get dark even at 4pm. Here is a photo of the outside and front area with its wide parking lot.

Here is our room, we arrived around 4pm so it is starting to get dark outside. Below is also a picture of the hallways, elevator area, and a waiting area with a good view of the lake.

The very thing we love about this hotel is the view. Our room is called the seaside view room. You can also choose to stay in a room where you can see Mount Fuji. Our little Sai is watching (like a boss, in his diapers!) at the Pirate Ship docked along the river. We already boarded the pirate ship yesterday but he still wants to go back inside the boat. 🙂 There is also a view of the garden of the hotel. This is a usual place for seaside weddings.

We enjoyed our stay and the food as well (but is was a bit pricey). We ate dinner in the hotel restaurant since most of the shops outside are already closed by 7pm, and the temp outside is really really cold. We also had our breakfast where Ate Rei and Sai enjoyed eating their bread and cereals.

This hotel also offers hot baths or hot springs as they call it. I was not able to use one since I slept right after dinner. 🙂 We enjoyed our short stay in this hotel and we wish to come back soon. We boarded the free shuttle in going to Odawara Station, ready to go back home. 🙂
