Our 41st entry in this blog is our trip to Tokyo Dome City in Bunkyo, Tokyo, Japan. I have been here countless times but this is the only time where I get to see the attractions and rides for the kids. I always go here mainly to eat lunch at Bubba Gump after hearing mass at Yotsuya, take photos around the area, or to visit some shops at LaQua. This is also not Rei and Sai’s first visit but this is their first time to actually go in and try the rides and attractions inside. (Rei and Sai’s first visit here in Tokyo Dome was to eat at Bubba Gump and that was like 2 years ago? hehehe…) 🙂
So here we are now with Tokyo Dome City’s girl mascot (I do not know her name, I think it was Lulu or something). She has a partner boy mascot named Don? (I’m not sure again) but he was nowhere in sight at the moment. Ate Rei and Sai are no longer afraid of mascots and are really excited to meet one.

We first entered the Viking Zone and our first ride was the Furi Furi Grand Prix where you get to drive a drift car and get some scores. Sai was not able to ride it since it will only allow kids 3yrs old and above. Huhuhu… Our poor little boy is just watching with envy. Only Papa and Ate Rei got to ride first. It’s OK Sai, we will visit again maybe next year 🙂
There are lots of rides at the Viking Zone but are mostly available for older kids.

We then went to LaQua zone and immediately climbed the stairs to the Venus Lagoon, a fantastic floating merry-go-round featuring various animals. Now this is Ate Rei’s favorite ride in any amusement park. Sai also gets to ride it and enjoyed it very much.
Again, there are lots of rides at the LaQua zone but mostly dangerous for the little ones.

Our next stop is the Parachute Zone, but we just passed by the zone since a lot of bigger kids are already in line for the rides.

We went next to the Splash Garden Zone where most of the little kids are enjoying. Sai and I immediately went to the Pixie Cup ride while Ate Rei and Papa went to the Corocco ride where rowing the lever makes the Tram Ride move.

Ate Rei and Sai’s most favorite spot is the Magical Mist where you can run around the blue padded playground while the mist and water springs up and a lot of playful mini fountains spits up some water. If you are not careful, you will surely be soaking wet. Well, kids love water!

And that’s it! We enjoyed our day in Tokyo Dome City. Well, that was not really a day, just 2 hours of fun, fun, fun! Since this place is really huge, and we just got to ride some 10% of all the attractions, we will surely be back 🙂
