Our 48th entry in this blog is our trip to Cebu Westown Lagoon in Mandaue City, Cebu. We visited this place before, 2 years ago (in 2015), during Sai’s Christening. A lot has changed: the addition of the dragon pool area, and the opening of their own restaurant cafe. So now… we are happy to be here as we celebrate Tita Karen’s 33rd birthday! Yay!

We love it here. Entrance is not expensive and we get to bring our own food from outside. We brought with us lots of foods from Manila Food Shop which is way cheaper than eating in their cafe. Entrance fee is 300 for adults and 200 for kids, plus you get a free canned softdrink or juice as you present your entrance ticket at the pool bar. Our little Sai loves the front pool with children’s slide. The pool is only waist-level for me, so it is much safer for kids.

Ate Rei loves the Dragon Pool area. It has a wet playground on top of the castle. This place is really good for pictures and selfies. We were not able to see the light up during night time swimming since we went home already around 5pm, but I have heard the light effects are great.

Here are more photos of the area. The dry playground is also Rei’s favorite. We rented the small type cottage worth P1,200 and it is spacious enough for us, a total of 7 adults and 2 kids. There are also free spaces with tables and chairs for those who doesn’t want to pay for cottages. And there are big cottages as well for the big groups, perfect for birthday parties, only worth P2,400.

So here is the gang, we have Lolo Nonno, Ate Gin, Gooya, Sai, Tita Karen, Tito Dou, Ate Rei, and Me. And also Tito James (Tito Dou’s cousin) who took this photo. Of course, since this is just a few kilometers ayaw from home, we will surely be back!
