Our 49th entry in this blog is our trip to the Temple of Leah in Brgy. Busay Cebu City. This is everyone’s first time, even if we often eat at the nearby Lantaw Restaurant, we haven’t thought of walking for a few meters ahead to visit the Taj Mahal of Cebu. 🙂 But now, finally we are here. Ate Rei is very excited to get inside and always shows off her latest camera poses.

“This Temple was constructed in the year 2012 A.D as a symbol of my undying love for her and my ceaseless devotion to Leah Villa Albino-Adarna,” as Entrepreneur Teodorico Adarna dedicated the temple to his wife of 54 years. Leah died of lung cancer in 2012 at 69. The edifice is meant to be a repository of her items gathered from her travels.

The architecture makes references to Roman temples. This place is quite famous for pictorials like wedding prenups. The temple has an art gallery, museum, and a library where all of the favorite things her wife owned are placed. You can see a grand staircase with angels made up of brass and the Queen of the Temple in a 10-ft statue with crown and flower.

It was raining that day, but Ate Rei and Sai enjoyed their visit to the temple. This is something new for them since they are used to going out in malls and play areas. There is no kiddie areas here but the huge space and grounds will surely make you run around while looking at the top view of Cebu City.

It is best if you can bring your own food since only hotdogs and bottled drinks are available and are quite expensive. Still, Ate Rei and Sai enjoyed every bite and every juice drop of these usual snacks.

And that was our trip to the famous temple. Entrance fee is P50 for adults. No fees for kids and senior citizens.

Sai here is very much happy to see real trucks and amazed by how big they are (but that’s just a mini version Sai, there are still lots of huge trucks out there). Until next time! Hope there are lots of improvements in our next visit (since there are still areas under construction).
