Our 57th entry in this blog is our trip to Kodomo No Kuni in Aoba-ku, Yokohama. This is already our 3rd visit since this park is Ate Rei and Sai’s fave park. Our visit last year is of the same date, May 15, 2017! Yay! Deja Vu. This time, we went with families of Tito RC and Tito Mellerz. Indeed, the more the manier, errr merrier 🙂

As always, we started our park day with a big slide at the huge play area. We arrived almost lunch time so the kids used up all their breakfast energies before going to the canteen for yummy lunch.

Ate Rei here looks quite chubby. hehehe 🙂 We love their canteen, it is not crowded and you can relax while eating your lunch. The meals are also yummy and with free toys for the kids. Next, we headed for a farther area so we need to ride the mini steam locomotive or train. Sai loves this part… chugga chugga choo choo!

After our train ride, we headed to the farm animals. By this time, the animals are also having their lunches and most of them are eating. Below you can see the cows all lined up for their lunch, and we also helped to feed the horses with carrots.

After visiting the big animals, we went straight to the little ones. The bunnies, hamsters, and other animals you can see in the farm like donkeys, pigs (but they have the wild ones), peacocks, ducks, sheeps, and more. The kids enjoyed their time touching the hamsters and rabbits. Careful not to squeeze them ok? 🙂

The park is so huge but we need to go to another place while the sun is still up! By the way, “KODOMONOKUNI was founded in commemoration of the Royal Marriage of Prince Akihito and Princess Michiko in 1959”. Well that is sweet. “KODOMONOKUNI is a type of natural-park of which the main purpose is to contribute to children’s sound mind and body”. And that is very thoughtful. I love Japan!

Our next stop is the boat ride. We spent most of our afternoon here since it took us time and effort to paddle the boat. hehehe 🙂

This place, the boat ride place, is sooo perfect for autumn. Most of the leaves will turn orange and red. It would also be nice to visit this place in Autumn. hmmm…
After our boat ride, snack time and more strolling heading towards the exit.

As far as my calculation goes, we only visited 40% of the park. The land covers an area of 976,000 square meters (approx. 240 acres). That is too much for the little feet. hehe… 🙂
But then again, we still have time to visit soon. 🙂
