Our Trip to Legoland Discovery Center

Our 64th entry in this blog is our trip to Legoland Discovery Center in Odaiba, Tokyo, Japan.  This is everyone’s first time to enter such a nice indoor theme park.  And since it is still October 29, their theme is still with Halloween 🙂 Here are the 3 kids ready to play inside Legoland!

Legoland01

Sai is so excited to enter the area and he usually talks to himself, via a mirror. hehehe 🙂 “Located in waterfront Odaiba, LEGOLAND Discovery Center Tokyo contains more than three million LEGO® bricks and features a Miniland Tokyo—a dioramic cityscape filled with mini reconstructions of some of Tokyo’s most famous landmarks. Other attractions include a dynamic 4D cinema and three themed rides.” -https://www.gotokyo.org/en/spot/468/

The details were all amazing.  From Tokyo Tower to the Skytree, to Rainbow Bridge, the Sumo Stadium and the famous Shibuya crossing, plus so many more.

Legoland03

“And as if the structures themselves aren’t amazing enough, the lighting changes from daytime to night time periodically, and there is even a fireworks display that is let off during the night time phase.” -https://en.japantravel.com/tokyo/legoland-discovery-center-odaiba/2723

Legoland04

Here is Ate Rei and Sai enjoying all the lego structures like this bike and dragon.  Sai’s favorite area is the one where he can build his own lego car and race it with the other kids.  He totally enjoyed it!

Legoland05

There are lots of areas where you can play with lego structures hands on.  Ate Rei loves to add small houses at the bottom of this huge lego mountain structure.

Legoland06

There is also a ride (‘Kingdom Quest’) where you use laser guns to fight off the baddies and rescue the princess! Another ride, called ‘Merlin’s Apprentice’ is Ate Rei and Sai’s favorite ride here.  It is like a bicycle moving round and round.  The more you pedal, the higher you get, quite scary, for me… hehe 🙂

Legoland07

The play area is quite huge. There is also a huge area for the canteen but we only ordered drinks as both kids are busy playing.  We also entered their spacious kiddie maze and Ate Rei and Sai, as usual, enjoyed it.

Legoland08

Our little Sai loved this place so much and he wants to go to the real and bigger Legoland. uh oh! That’s quite far and expensive. haha! But we’ll see.

Legoland09

Until then Legoland… We will be back someday 🙂
