Our 90th entry in this blog is our trip to Dusit Thani Resort in Mactan, Cebu.  This is everyone’s first time as this brand new hotel resort has just opened this month (or was it last month?) and it is currently in its soft opening mode.  The entrance reception is sooo huge, it is very impressive.  We love it! 🙂

Their rooms are also neat and smelled of new things.  We are lucky to get this room with a discounted price for their first 2 months opening (7k pesos per night).  Ate Rei and Sai are excited to sleep tonight in these cozy beds.

But there is no time to rest.  We need to explore the hotel since it’s our first time.  But, Ate Rei and Sai only spent most of their time inside Dusit Thani’s Fun Zone.  Well, that was ok as it was really fun playing in their Fun Zone (I created a separate blog page for this, check out the previous page). 🙂

So what is the meaning of the name Dusit Thani?  “First, Dusit is the mythological name for the fourth of the seven levels of heaven. Second, King Rama VI took the name adding “Thani,” meaning “Town” in Thai, to be the title of a model city for democratic society, where everyone would live in happiness and freedom.” — dtc.listedcompany.com

We so loved the infinity pool.  It really looked infinite.  hehe 🙂  We have here Gooya and Lolo walking around the resort and probably waiting for some snacks.

But before we tried their meals, it’s pool time for Ate Rei and Sai.  Refreshing!

And when the two kiddos are tired for the day, we went to the nearest restaurant.  Dusit Thani Mactan have 4 restaurant cafes and we chose “Sunset Bar”.  It is a lively sports bar that opens directly in their pool deck. “It’s the perfect place to duck in for a poolside lunch, sip sunset drinks, play billiards, watch a championship match with friends and enjoy live entertainment.”

After a very good night sleep, we cannot wait for breakfast!  See Ate Rei’s face of excitement.

After breakfast, pool, and some last minute strolling, we need to check out for lunch outside the resort.

That was a perfect stay for us and hope we can afford to go back. hehehe 🙂
