Our 99th entry in this blog is our trip to Fujiyama Museum in Yamanashi, Japan. This museum is near the Fuji-Q Highland theme park where we went for a day tour. We honestly have no interest (yet) on arts and paintings but since the weather outside is getting colder, we decided to get inside this museum for a warmer environment. hehehe 🙂 And… we were amazed by the paintings of Fuji. Unfortunately, we were not able to take photos of the paintings in a closer look, as it is not allowed.

The place was huge and wide. Ate Rei and Sai wants to run around the area. hehe 🙂 Ate Rei is into art and her comment is that “painting Mt. Fuji is easy”. haha! And she has no idea how much one painting costs. “The museum was constructed for the 75th anniversary of Fujikyuko Co., Ltd with the cooperation of Horiuchi Koankai Foundation, and was completed in July 2003. It displays pictures of Mt.Fuji collected by both the organizations over a period of 40 years.” – yamanashi-kankou.jp

Mt. Fuji has long been the subject of painting for numerous artists. For me, all the paintings in this museum are amazing and very inspiring. You can also enjoy the paintings on display as you walk through a gently sloped galleria, so much like the Mt. Fuji trail. Me and Papa Dave have reached the summit of Mt. Fuji way back in 2010. I hope Ate Rei and Sai can go there as well. 🙂

And that was our mini trip to Fujiyama Museum. I hope Ate Rei is inspired to do some of her own paintings of Mt. Fuji 🙂
