Our Trip to Hotel MyStays Fuji Onsen Resort

Our 104th entry in this blog is our trip to Hotel MyStays in Kawaguchiko, Yamanashi, Japan.  There are several “Hotel MyStays” in Japan and this one is called Fuji Onsen Resort.  It is very near to one of our stops here in Kawaguchiko, the Fuji-Q Highland Theme Park.  Just a 5-minute walk from Fuji-Q Highland Station.

Since it is Autumn and Halloween, the hotel’s decorations are mostly with pumpkins.  They even have a Christmas Tree decorated with pumpkins.  Double celebration. 🙂  Here is Ate Rei and Sai goofing around the lobby decorations while waiting for Papa Dave to finish checking in.

We got the Twin Room and our little Sai is so happy with his view.  A parking lot and mountains.  It was quite amazing in the morning when we really cannot see anything… just fogs.  Feels like we are on top of the clouds.

It is still OK even if we did not get the Fuji View rooms since all of them are already booked, we can still see the glorious Mt. Fuji from other parts of the hotel, as well as from their onsen.

We stayed here for 2 nights.  It was originally an overnight stay, but it rained hard on our first day so we were not able to visit Fuji-Q Highland.  We added another 1 night stay to give us more time to visit Fuji-Q on the second day, and other Kawaguchiko places on the third day.

It was indeed a pleasant stay in Hotel MyStays.  We were relaxed and enjoyed the views as well as the animated shows in their TV. 🙂  Hoping to visit again next time.
