Our 101st entry in this blog is our trip to Kawaguchiko Music Forest Museum in Yamanashi, Japan. This is everyone’s first time to visit this very pretty museum. We feel like we are in Europe! 🙂

They also have one of the largest rose garden in Japan. Guests can enjoy walking around the rose garden that exhibits 720 varieties of roses, plus other seasonal flowers like Petunia, Peony, Sunflower, etc. Here is Ate Rei and Sai walking around the Rose Garden. But since it is not its season in Autumn, a few small roses are still to be seen.

The place is quite small but everything is beautifully designed and layered out. This is a park and museum devoted to automatic musical instruments. Just look at the luscious garden view below, it feels like you are in a modern fairy tale setting.

Ate Rei and our little Sai happily walks and runs around this place. Weather is sunny with cool breeze. Just perfect!

“But, of course, raveling won’t be complete without a little memento. Guests have numerous choices ranging from fragrances, confectionaries, liquors, Mt. Fuji whisky glasses, rose themed accessories, and music boxes with your favorite J-Pop tunes” -travel.gaijinpot.com/kawaguchiko-music-forest/

“If you are looking for something special, you can customize your own music box by first choosing your favorite tune, and then by either painting the outside or just attaching cute decorations on it.” -travel.gaijinpot.com/kawaguchiko-music-forest/

And since we were here on a Halloween Season, they also have numerous designs for Halloween like pumpkins and cute witches.

Its main hall displays antique music boxes, mechanical organs and other automatic musical instruments mostly from European countries. The largest of them is a French fairground organ from 1905 which takes up an entire hall and plays every 30 minutes. The main building also houses a concert hall where classical musicians from around the world perform.

After watching some of the performances, we continued strolling around the park before heading to another Kawaguchiko trip.

We surely had fun. We wished to stay longer to watch all the performances but sad there is not much time left for other sites. Until next time. 🙂
