Our Trip to Sakuragicho

Our 109th entry in this blog is our nth trip to Sakuragicho. The area got its name from the Sakura River, which used to flow nearby. This has been our go to place everytime we are lazy to decide on where to go on a weekend. We love this place and there is always so much to do specially for the kids. Lots of food choices, huge malls, and a great place for arcade games and kiddie rides. What more can you ask for! πŸ™‚
Today we started walking from the Yamashita Park and went to the Red Bricks area where festival or fare is happening. I just can’t read what the fare is all about though.

Then we strolled around the area to relax and breathe fresh sea breeze. Ate Rei here already knows how to pose like a Japanese school girl, with a peace sign. hehe πŸ™‚

We then went inside World Porters Mall for some window shopping and see some new toys. As always, we only get to see them not buy them, it’s quite expensive around this place. We also get to see a very nicely lit Nippon Maru ship, a Japanese museum ship and former training vessel. She is permanently docked in Yokohama harbor, in Nippon Maru Memorial Park.

The best part of Sakuragicho is the arcades in Cosmo World. We always spend time here to play some of our favorites like basketball and UFO catchers. And of course, the rides. Here we have Ate Rei, Papa Dave, and our little Sai gets to ride the roller coaster. And as always, I volunteer to just take pictures. Not fond of fast rides really. πŸ™‚

And that was our few hours of walking through Sakuragicho. Until then… πŸ™‚
