Our Trip to Showa Kinen Park

Our 154th entry in this blog is our trip to Showa Kinen Park, this time for Spring! 🙂

I am not a flower person, and that is a very big fat lie! hehehe… The idea of going to see a bunch of them always makes me want to jump off my sofa. So after seeing all the flowers yesterday at Yokohama Red Brick, I still should see these ones in Showa Kinen. Because, why not? 🙂

There is not enough words to describe these flowering gardens. Just… just feast your eyes on them and you might start to smell them through these pictures. 🙂

A kaleidoscope of colors spread in all directions. There are a lot of people around these flowers this day, all taking pictures of every angle. Ate Rei, Sai, and Papa Dave are just relaxing in our picnic area, eating junk foods, while watching everyone and the flowers from a distance.

I have only been in 1 area of the park and there are still other areas out there, inside this huge Showa Kinen Park, that is still to be discovered by me. But here alone, is enough, my phone camera is now low-batt and already full of flower photos.

And finally, the three musketeers stood up for a photo op. We will look at the Japanese Garden and see if there is something new.

And still more pictures of the lovely tulips before reaching the Japanese Garden.

We have reached the Japanese Garden but there is not much flowers in there. This garden is best seen in Autumn. It is a quiet place today and we are glad we had a chance to rest here. We are also joined by our friends and colleagues (while I was still working here in Japan). We have here Mayen, Portia, and Guia. 🙂

And that was our quick visit to Showa Kinen Park for the Spring Flower Festival. Hope to be back for their next event! 🙂
