Our 175th entry in this blog is our trip to Kilimanjaro Kafe inside Plantation Bay Resort and Spa. We are still under pandemic situations, so this is a good place for a mini gathering, since there are no crowd at all.

There is not much people, in fact, I think we are the only ones here to eat. hehe 🙂 There are a few people swimming in the pools and resting in their lounge and swings.

This is not our first time to visit Plantation Bay, but the last time we were here, Ate Rei was just a year old. So this is actually Sai’s first time to go inside the resort. He even asked me why we haven’t spent time in here, why we always go to JPark? hehehe. “Well, this is a place perfect for older ones (I guess). They don’t have big slides, motor cars, and big play areas like JPark. So soon, when you are older, and doesn’t need the slides anymore, we will stay here more.” And Sai said: “Nope! I always need the slides.” hehehe 🙂

As always, Plantation Bay area is huge, very serene and quiet, perfect place for relaxation. Hope we can book a night here soon. But for now, we are here to eat!

Kilimanjaro Kafe is the only restaurant that is open (for now, due to pandemic) inside this resort. They used to have, I think, 5 restaurants here. I hope the other restaurants will be opened soon so that we can go back for another dine-in experience 🙂 Plantation Bay’s restaurants are: Kilimanjaro Kafe, Fiji Restaurant (flavors of the Pacific Rim), Palermo (tapas and pastas), Alien Abduction (an ice cream parlor), and the Route 66 Diner. I would really wish to visit this Alien Abduction cafe, hopefully they will re-open.

Just look at our surrounding scene. Magical sunset by the pool. The coffee shop is surrounded by a gigantic swimming pool. Features international and Filipino favorites, a special children’s menu, and their world-famous Breakfast Buffet with different culinary themes for every day of the week. Ate Rei is enjoying her pizza. 🙂

So that was our very quick visit to Plantation Bay’s Kilimanjaro Kafe. Dishes are all yummy and just right for the price. Place is excellent specially for distancing. Hope to come back here soon 🙂 We’d love to visit the restaurants as well.
