Our 208th entry in this blog is our first time trip to Argao’s Maayo Hotel and Resort. This has been known as one of the instagrammable resorts in Cebu.

Maayo Argao is a refreshing vacation spot in southern Cebu with a Moroccan-inspired atmosphere. Owned and operated by Maayo Hotels Corporation (we visited their Maayo Hotel in San Remigio around 2 years ago, and it was also a bliss).
During our check-in, there was a setup for a wedding ceremony. This resort is also famous for events like weddings, reunions, and birthdays.

We then went to our rooms. Actually it’s not a room but an entire house!

We like this kind of setup. Not the usual hotel rooms. It feels like we live here. hehe. We are more at ease with our accommodation with 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen and a living room. You can really bond as a family, unlike our usual hotel stays where we are separated by different rooms that can only accommodate 2 adults and 2 kids.

The only drawback I have with Maayo Argao is that we need to walk, for a significant distance, between our accommodation and to the lobby/pool/restaurant. Well, the feeling of living in a subdivision and not in a hotel is really accurate. hehe. So we dressed in our swimming clothes, walked for like at least 10 minutes, then got our pool plunge!

We are glad it is not crowded today. Well maybe when the wedding ceremonies are done, then those people will all take a dip in the pool.

We spent almost the entire late afternoon by the pool. And when we are done, we started walking again to go back to our hotel house. By the time we arrived, we were already dry. lolz š

For dinner, we went out at the center of Argao to eat like barbecue and other street foods (sorry no photos, my phone battery died). After dining out, we stayed in our hotel home, played games, watched movies, slept, and woke up hungry for breakfast! š

The meals are yummy. Drinks and coffee are free (love that). And since we need to walk quite a distance to go back to our hotel home, we just brought with us our swimming clothes this time.

The pool is great. Lovely backdrop for the pictures, and such a wide space to run around!

This is such a lovely place to go back to someday. I just wish they will create some kind of an access gate from the pool area direct to the villas or hotel homes as I call it. But sure is a great place to relax, walk (exercise), and enjoy your time by the pool. š
