Our 214th entry in this blog is our first time trip to El Mar Resort in Sogod, Cebu. We are joined by cousin Hearty and Tita Karen 🙂 Gooya is absent today as she is in Plaridel. All of us fit inside my cute Honda Jazz car. haha!

El Mar Resort & Spa is like our mini Boracay here in Cebu. The resort sprawled across 89 hectares of land in fine white sands. We only visited here for Day Use, just to relax for the entire day. 🙂

Unfortunately, it’s super cloudy today. My photos did not reflect the blue seas but only the gray skies, sad. But still, we are so happy to spend time in the calm beach. Makes us all relaxed and sleepy. hehe 🙂 Perfect reward for my hours of driving.

The beachfront is truly stunning, with coconut trees that softly sway in the breeze. The resort offers lounge chairs that face the sea, which are great for soaking up the sun or just taking in the scenery. We are really gonna visit this place again with a sure sunny weather someday 🙂

After our fun at the sea shore, we headed to the restaurant area for our lunch. It is so nice walking at El Mar’s quiet long stretch of sea shore 🙂 We imagined it to be our own place. haha!

The restaurant, with a beautiful ocean view, is located right along the beachfront. Intimate and romantic ambience which is ideal for a romantic evening by the sea. Being on top of their second level, it feels like you are in a ship, like a cruise ship 🙂

The restaurant offers a large selection of delectable regional and international cuisine along with cool beverages that go wonderfully with the tropical backdrop. The design and layout of the tables and chairs are also nicely done. I love blue and white.

The day use comes with a lunch meal already. It’s not just a meal but a feast. The food is yummy and… a lot! 🙂

After our lunch, we felt like it’s time to sleep. haha! 🙂 We went back to the beach area and the kids still played by the sand, while most of us, adults, just slept by the swings. Perfect nap for a perfect afternoon.

So that was our quick getaway visit to El Mar resort. We hope we can afford their rooms (haha!) soon so that we can relax here for the entire day. Until next time El Mar. 🙂
