Our 220th entry in this blog is Ate Rei and Sai’s first time to watch a Cirque Du Soleil show, called Alegria, in Tokyo, Japan. I have always loved to watch Cirque shows ever since I started watching one, called Zed. And we are so happy that Cirque is back even if we are still in pandemic season. Before we went to the show, we made sure we filled our tummies first with lunch at Daiba.

We had lunch first at the King of Pirates. Our little Sai is happy with his meal. 🙂

We walked to Diver City mall as the venue/tent for the show is situated there, near Aomi station. We also got to greet the unicorn Gandam as we walked to the venue.

The tent is huge! A lot of people are also waiting outside the tent for the show.

The show is sponsored by Daihatsu. Before we went inside the show area, we made sure to order some popcorns, and Papa’s favorite churos. 🙂

“Alegría is an all-time Cirque du Soleil classic reimagined for a new generation to fall in love with. At the heart of a kingdom that has lost its king, Alegría witnesses the power struggle at play between the old order and the youth in strive for hope and renewal. With its unforgettable soundtrack, exciting acrobatics, surreal costumes, vibrant sets and playful humor, Alegría unfolds a touching immersive experience imbued with a joyous magical feeling – a quintessential Cirque du Soleil spectacle.” -cirquedusoleil.com

We were not allowed to take pictures during the show. But they made sure that we did during the presentation of casts. The show is breathtaking and amazing! That’s why we love Cirque.
Here are some photos from their site, these are just few acts. There is never a dull moment during the show.

Since April 1994 the show has been performed over 5000 times, and has been seen by over 14 million spectators in more than 250 cities around the world. Wow! A lot of people have seen the show and we are glad we are a part of it. 🙂

And that was our exciting trip to watch Alegria, a Cirque du Soleil show. Hope we can get to watch another Cirque soon. 🙂
