Our 222nd entry in this blog is our third time trip to Zoorasia, our favorite zoo in Japan. The first time we went here was in 2016, and the second one was in 2020. Now, we are joined with cousin Hearty (Londonio family).

Yokohama Zoological Gardens “ZOORASIA” is an unique zoo which has few fences as possible so that visitors can see the animals living in an environment similar to their natural habitat. Since this is a very wide park, we prepared a stroller for Hearty, to minimize energy drain. haha! 🙂

The first stop is the area for the Indian Elephants. Maybe these are still the elephants we’ve seen in 2016. They still look healthy and happy. Still doing their usual routine.

We also got to see the Bornean Orangutan (the one in dark orange color), the Pileated Gibbon, and a couple of Malayan Tapirs.

And then we stopped at the Jungle Cafe for lunch meal. Of course, we ordered at our favorite Freshness Burger. We often joked that these are fresh meats, as they just get it directly from the zoo. hehehe 🙂

Next is the area for the Langurs, the Francois and the Red-shanked Douc Langurs. I think I just know them here. I have never heard of them before. hehe 🙂

And then the Asian Lion. We are done with the Asian Tropical area. And we still have a long way to go!

We walked through the Oceanian area and we saw some Red Pandas. There are still lots of animals that we saw along the way, I just did not post every single one of them here.

We walked through the Alass Valley and took some good photos of the picnic place. We also saw some otters, an eagle, and some rare birds along the way.

Hearty and Sai love penguins and polar bears so we stayed here for a while.

The Polar Bear here is still sane, hehe. I saw the polar bear in Ueno Zoo and it just keeps on walking to and fro in one line. Maybe that was a robot! just kidding… 🙂

It is time for another break, so we looked for a good spot to rest our tired little feet.

Just look at how relaxing the place is. And how big it is that it stresses you out and makes you look for a place to relax. Entering that loop! haha 🙂

Moving on… we arrived at the Aussie Hill restaurant area where we did a photo last 2016. And here is the before and now…

From smaller to bigger kids plus one, and from slimmer to wider bodies. haha 🙂

We played around the Kangaroo jump challenge!

We saw the Przewalski’s horse. I did not even know that was his name or kind.

I actually forgot what we saw in here. It’s another relaxing walk under the big trees. 🙂

We finally arrived at another shop, hopefully a snack area, called the Amazon Center. Restroom break in here guys.

There is no break without a snack on hand. We all have ice cream. Yay!

We are almost done with our day tour! We saw the Okapi and the Rhino (which is Sai in Japanese). This is called the Eastern Black Rhinoceros, or maybe Brown?

This is the African Savanna area. A lot of animals just run free in here. There are zebras, giraffes, cheetah, and the Common Eland. There is also a Lion somewhere… But we saw the Lion in a glass cage for his meal.

The handsome lion smiles at us 🙂 He looks hungry though, and Sai is a good meal for him. haha! 🙂

After seeing everything in the zoo, it is time to go back home to finally rest our feet. This is the shuttle bus going to the station. It still looks like we are looking at animals like the sticker monkeys in the windows. hehe. 🙂 Until next time Zoorasia!
