Our Trip to Tokyo DisneySea

Our 224th entry in this blog is our trip to Tokyo Disney Sea. This is our second time to visit this happy place but we are joined with baby Hearty who will be visiting Disney for the first time. Yay!

The last time we visited Disney Sea, about 6 years ago, Ate Rei was dressed as Queen Elsa. Now it is Hearty’s time to dress like one, while Kuya Sai is buzz light year and Ate Rei is just ’emo kid’ according to her. hehe…

Upon opening, Tokyo DisneySea became the ninth park of the twelve worldwide Disney theme parks to open. It has an overall nautical exploration theme.

There are currently seven themed lands, or “ports of call”. The entrance to the park is Mediterranean Harbor, which opens up to six more nautically themed ports: American Waterfront, Lost River Delta, Port Discovery, Mermaid Lagoon, Arabian Coast, and Mysterious Island.

The buying of Disney head accessories. 🙂

Boats of the DisneySea Transit Steamer Line ferry passengers between Mediterranean Harbor and American Waterfront near the park entrance to Lost River Delta.

Cruising along the Mediterranean Harbor going to Indiana Jone’s place at Lost River Delta.

We wanted to ride the Indiana Jones one but it still has a very long line. We proceed first to Ariel’s place.

Fun ride here is a roller coaster called Scuttle’s Scooters. These are sand crabs that scoot you around under Scuttle’s watchful eye.

The happy faces of the ones who did the ride, and the ones who did not (that’s me. haha).

We then went to Ariel’s playground and then to the 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea.

We loved the ride in 20,000 Leagues… we took part in a mission to explore the fantastic undersea world aboard small submarines. Little Hearty loved it 🙂

After that, we went Vulcania restaurant to eat delicious lunch meals. 🙂 We then waited for the show to start!

After the show, we went to Port Discovery and lined up for the ride Aquatopia.

And of course, the Nemo and Friends Sea Rider.

Then we went back to Indiana Jones Adventure ride: the Temple of the Crystal Skull. Since Hearty cannot ride because there is a height limit, I just ate Ice Cream with her.

Next is Sinbad’s StoryBook Voyage. This is like the equivalent of It’s a Small World in Tokyo DisneyLand. Perfect ride to rest your feet. 🙂

I love the Arabian Coast. It’s like I’m in a different country all of a sudden. We also get to ride Jasmin’s Flying Carpet.

We spent a little while roaming around the Arabian Coast, really feels like we are in a fairy tale.

Our favorite ride in Arabian Coast is the Caravan Carousel. In the palace courtyard, this two-level carousel offers camels and other steeds, including the Genie.

It’s snacks time (and almost dinner time), we went back to Ariel’s castle for some snacks.

We waited by the American Waterfront area for the night show and fireworks.

Our last for this day is the Toy Story Mania, and this happens to be our favorite! We boarded a tram and played some fun carnival games with Woody, Buzz, and their pals.

And that was our one day visit to Tokyo Disney Sea. Our second time around and won’t be our last. Cross fingers! 🙂
