Our Trip to Naga Boardwalk

Our 240th entry in this blog is our first time visit to Naga Boardwalk in Naga, Cebu.

It’s a very good move for Naga to make their boardwalk so lively and interesting specially for the Christmas season. They have this boardwalk ever since, and now it has been developed and put to good use. πŸ™‚

A great place to unwind, walk around, feel the fresh ocean breeze, and of course, eat some street food goodies.

They also have these (artificial) tulip fields where you can be in awe, and feel that you took this photo somewhere else πŸ™‚ Sometimes called the Naga Baywalk, the spacious recreation grounds has become known as the City of Naga’s most popular public park. It is hidden away from the highways and sidewalks, and you can easily stay here for free.

We also witnessed a unique (I call it unique since I don’t always see it. hehe) display of colored sky where the other side is darker than the other one. I don’t know what that is called but my photo in the upper right has no filter in it. πŸ™‚

We are waiting for night time as Naga Boardwalk promised a spectacular light display as their Christmas treat for the Cebuanos πŸ™‚

Most people go to the park at night. This place is good for barkada night outs. It also helps that it is made to shine the brightest at night. The lights on the boardwalk make it even more photogenic.

The big and tall Christmas Tree always makes photos lively πŸ™‚ It’s like a perfect Birthday gift for me (as today is also my birthday!) πŸ™‚

We are now heading to the fountain area. The newly built water fountain is a sight to behold. Internationally renowned and Cebu’s Kenneth Cobonpue designed it. It has an elevated walkway with fountains and light rings that form the number 8 when seen from above.

This area is called the Pasilong sa Naga. In order to bring more outdoor attractions to the masses, Pasilong sa Naga was set up near the city hall and plaza for people to take a break from the city’s busy lifestyle.

It was indeed a perfect place to end our day. And now, we are going to look for some place to get dinner. Until next time Naga Boardwalk. πŸ™‚
