Our 257th entry in this blog is our trip to Sentosa Sensoryscape in Sentosa, Singapore. This is quite a unique thing to see. I’ve never seen exhibits like this and we enjoyed it day and night. π

From their brochure: A seamless journey from ridge to reef that unfolds a myriad of sensorial delights. Designed to blend the islandβs natural beauty with biophilic (huh?) architecture and innovative technology, this unique landmark is an invitation to reconnect with the senses, day or night. I checked what ‘biophilic’ means and it actually is a human tendency to connect with nature and other life forms.

Spanning across 30,000sqm, Sensoryscape is the first milestone of the Sentosa-Brani Master Plan, marking a significant step in Sentosa’s evolution as a leading global leisure and lifestyle destination. Nestled at the heart of Sentosa, this 350m north-south central spine connects guests from Resorts World Sentosa to the golden beaches, with an immersive, multi-sensory experience. So it would be great to just walk instead of using their monorail. π

Sensoryscape transforms into a night-time spectacle as daylight fades. Here, guests are immersed in a nature-inspired soundscape, where interactive digital light art and augment reality ignite the sixth sense of imagination. The ImagiNite experience plays out with light shows and digital floor projections across Sensoryscape, weaving unique narratives that are designed to marvel. You need to download the ImagiNite app in your smartphones to interact with the light display. π

Enter Glow Garden, where the grandeur of giant flower stalks captivates the imagination. Inspired by nature, these structures serve as a prelude to the evening’s spectacle. This part is the first area you will pass coming from the beach side.

Above is the Symphony Streams, where the trickling waters set the tone for serenity. In this tranquil oasis, the rhythmic flow of water harmonizes with Sentosa’s coastal breeze, offering a soothing backdrop to your sensory journey.

There is also a Palate Playground, where a rich tapestry of edible plants, aromatic herbs, and exotic spices awaits to deepen your appreciation of Sentosa’s authentic local flavours.

Tactile Trellis celebrates the joy of touch. Engage with a variety of textures that nature has to offer: from the softest caress to the most intriguing prickle.

And that is our quick visit to Sentosa Sensoryscape. We went there late afternoon (after our Luge adventure), then we watched a show in the beach shore, by the time it was done, the Sensorsyscape area is all lighted up! π
