Our Trip to Skyline Luge Singapore

Our 256th entry in this blog is Sai’s most awaited activity for the day, the Skyline Luge ride. πŸ™‚

Skyline Luge Singapore is a luge and skyride system located in Sentosa, Singapore. The attraction opened on 26 August 2005. The first time I was in Singapore (with Tita Karen, Gooya, and Lolo) back in 2008, we also rode this Luge ride. It was so fun that I made sure to go back someday. And now, 16 years after, I’m back. (That took sooo long! hehehe) πŸ™‚

The luge, situated on the Imbiah Lookout cluster opposite the Tiger Sky Tower, has four tracks. The tracks are called the Jungle Trail (628 meters), the Dragon Trail (688 meters), the Kupu Kupu Trail (638 meters) and the Expedition Trail (658 meters). The Jungle Trail is the oldest, followed by the Dragon Trail and the Kupu Kupu and Expedition trails. The luge is a self-driving car system in which riders control the speed by pushing a pair of handlebars back and forth.

We tried all the trails, and the Dragon Trail is our favorite. The luge ride goes downhill, relying on gravitational pull to move. After the ride, the 315 meter long Skyride, using chairlifts, brings riders, luge carts, and the helmets back to the starting point. The Skyride is similar to a ski lift.

Just look at our faces while riding this fun Luge cars. πŸ™‚ We will surely visit this attraction again soon! Crossing fingers. πŸ™‚
