Our Trip to Pulchra Resort

Our 294th entry in this blog is our trip to Pulchra Resort in San Fernando, Cebu.

We stayed here for a day use only. And I regret not staying for the night.

I was surprised to see the resort when we got inside. It’s actually one of the gorgeous resorts we’ve been. I love how peaceful it is to stay here. Most of the guests are Japanese tourists and I know how Japanese value peace and calmness of an area. 🙂

The room is really spacious. We love the bed. And the private mini pool in front of it. The bathroom is huge too. Since we are just here for a day, we just paid for 1 room where we can have a nice comfort room and a cold aircon. hehe 🙂

San Fernando is just an hour and a half away from our place, I’m really missing out on this good deal of a Resort. But anyway, since we are all here, let’s start our day with a good swim!

We are now heading to the pool area. And while going there, we explored the different plants around the area. I never knew this place is huge! There are private suites and villas in the farther side, some with their own pools as well.

And the pool is so nice! Its a continuous pool surrounding the restaurant.

And the beach fronting the resort is very calm. The water is clean and clear. Although the sand isn’t white, but in this part of Cebu, the sand is really quite rocky and rough. But the view is superb! 🙂

There is not much guest today. Or maybe they are still sleeping. We have all the pool area to ourselves. As well as the mini cottages where you can rest while feeling the wind from the sea. 🙂

Ate Rei and Sai, together with Hearty are enjoying the shallow pool. They always transfer from the shallow to the deeper one and back to the shallow by playing tag.

It’s a good cloudy day today. We can even use this circular ‘tambayan’ area while sipping our fruit shakes and the others are still in pool. charot! We did not order shakes as we enjoyed the pool too much.

Most of their plants are flower plants. But I actually see a lot of fruits and veggies behind the flowering plants. There are tomatoes, eggplants, and others. They are harvesting it for their kitchen. It is really organic. 🙂

There is also this fun area for pool bar drinks. It opens maybe at night time. 🙂

We circled the pool area and their are hidden gems in the corners. hehe. We love the waterfall. But be careful as this pool area is so deep, it is mainly used for diving practices.

We then played frisbee and ball games in the shoreline. Just look at how clear the water is. I can see my feet very clearly. There are even small fishes in the area.

It is low tide today so we explored the beach area. There are lots of sea urchins around. Sai was afraid of it. hehe. 🙂

We then tried the clear boat kayak. It’s a good thing that it is low tide. No waves and the sea is super calm. The see-through boat is perfect for this!

We then went back to our room to freshen up. But of course, took a dip in our mini private pool as well. 🙂

We then headed to the restaurant for our lunch meal. This is actually included with our day use fee. And the meals are served in courses. Loved every bit of it! 🙂

Everything is tasty and yummy! We wanted more so we ordered more desserts!

After our lunch, we headed to the game room for billiards, table tennis, darts, and some crafts. And then we went back to our room for a good siesta! Ate Rei, Sai, and Hearty is watching the movie Willie Wonka. While the adults are snoring! 🙂

And that was our quick day use visit at Pulchra. We should have been here before! I just did not know how lovely this place is. We’d really love to be back but I hear they are closing out for good. That is so sad. But we are so happy we get to spend a day here. A day very well spent indeed! 🙂
