Our Trip to Cebu Safari

Our 296th entry in this blog is our trip to our favorite Cebu Safari and Adventure Park in Carmen, Cebu. This is now our 5th visit and we still love to tour around the place. The last time we were here was already 3 years ago. 🙂
School has just ended last week and this trip marks our beginning of our school break 2025. dzah! hahaha…

We used to come here very very early. But now, since we have in our group the Seniors (Gooya and Lolo – who now moves slowly) and school-vacationing kids (Ate Rei and Sai – who wakes up late), we arrived around lunch time already. hehe 🙂

As soon as we arrived, the bird show was about to start, so we headed directly to the Safari Stadium. We always love to see the birds’ performances. I bet training these animals are hard but they still manage to make them perform every time. 🙂

Right after the bird show, we ate lunch at Orangutown area. We had pizza and chicken meals. Then we waited for the tram going to the White Lion’s tour.

The white (brown looking) lions are asleep and resting. But one of them roamed around, unfortunately away from us. Maybe they are done with their meals and are now in their siesta schedule. 🙂

Our next stop is supposed to be the Camels and Birds of the world, but it was drizzling when we arrived at the area so we decided to skip it for now. We then go to the African Savanna.

I always like this ride. You can see a lot of animals all at once. There are different kinds of antelopes, greater kudus, zebras, and some wildebeests. You can be so close to the animals but they are not scary at all. 🙂

Our next stop is the place for Lacostes, hehe, or Crocs. 🙂 Gooya does not usually visit this place because of the stairs. haha. She just waits by the snack area near the crocodile and otter exhibits.

At this time, we call each one of the crocodile as Lalai. haha. This is because of the viral video posted around last month when a crocodile was trying to eat the hand of a man, and everyone was shouting to her: “ayaw ana Lai, buotan man na si Lalai ba!” hehehe 🙂

Every time we visit here, there are new crocs around. Their number is always growing. They are now more scary than ever. But we still like to see them and wonder what their day to day life is. hehe. 🙂

The biggest croc is right under the pathwalk. So sai wants to have a close look and measured himself if he can fit inside its belly. hehe. 🙂

After the crocs, we saw the lions which are also sleeping, and some big turtles who are having their lunch meals.

We also got to see the cheetahs and some serval cats which are all sleeping due to this bed weather. hehe. Sometimes it drizzles, so it is really a perfect weather to sleep. 🙂

We were happy to see that there are now 6 giraffes (not sure if there are still others hiding in their rooms). I think the last time we visited, we only saw three.

The little giraffe is standing still. Maybe thinking on how he can reach that bucket of plants for him to eat. But he looks like he is resting though, just closing his eyes.

The rain is now pouring much at this time, so we decided to have a snack break with vanilla and chocolate shakes, and different flavored fries at the Outpost. After our snacks, we decided to rest at our cabin and continue our animal adventures the next day. 🙂

So for our second day, we got to see the tigers, orangutans, and a lot of lemurs. 🙂

We also got see the Burmese Pythons, there are now 2 of them! And the other snakes are now so big and more scary.

We then walked to the donkeys, the macaw aviary, and the capybaras. There are also llamas, alpacas, and stow away peacocks. 🙂

After visiting the rest of the animals, we finally got to Gooya’s most awaited part. The lovely plants, cactus, and orchids at Michel’s Garden.

I think this is the place where it has lots of changes and improvements. A lot of new plants and fat fishes are already in here.

This area is now more colorful than ever. And there are nice details hanging along the path.

We rested here for a bit since it has lots of shade from the hanging plants. And the addition of the leaf-designed covers reminded us of the flower dome in Singapore. I’m happy Ate Rei and Sai loves to see flowers as well.

And the fishes here are so big. I wonder if they are already in their maximum sizes. The aquarium may not be enough for all them.

And that is our 2 day tour around Cebu Safari. We used to tour this place in one day only, but now, surely one day is not enough. We even spent 2 days here and we were not able to visit the Camels and Flamingos. Well at least we have a good reason to visit again soon. For our next visit, we will surely see the camels, flamingos, and we have yet to experience their night safari. 🙂 Until next time!
