Our 302nd entry in our digital diary is our 3rd time trip to Tokyo Disney Sea in Chiba, Japan. The last time we visited this theme park is 2 years ago with HeartyFlakes. 🙂 And now, we are joined by Ate Rei’s classmates and friends. Yay! 🙂

If you haven’t noticed yet, haha! We are disney bounding and dressed as The Little Mermaid. Ate Rei is Ariel, Sai is Flounder, Papa Dave is Prince Eric, and me as Sebastian. 🙂

We entered from the new entrance gate in their newest attraction area, the Fantasy Springs. 🙂

The area is huge and amazing to see new rides. The new theme includes areas for Frozen Kingdom, Rapunzel’s Forest, and Peter Pan’s Never Land. Unfortunately, the waiting time is so long that we were not able to ride any of the these new ones. Bummer! Well, another reason to visit again. hehe 🙂

Since we have friends with us who are first time visitors, we took the old rides where fewer people are lining up for. 🙂 At least there are fewer crowds compared to the new area.

Their first ride is the “Journey to the Center of the Earth”. We thought this was the ride with a submarine, as we have tried it before and we enjoyed it. We did not notice that that was the 20,000 leagues under the sea ride. Haha! It was too late for Ate Rei and Sai to back out. And it turned out be their best ride ever. Ate Rei even went for a second round. 🙂 It’s epic in scale and detail, and will truly make you feel like you’re in a different world. The experience starts off at the entrance which feels like it’s deep inside an active volcano. You walk past open pits of smoldering lava and see the workshop of Captain Nemo. We also did the Aquatopia. The three-person watercraft travels around the experimental pool, and this is no typical course. You’ll spin around and twirl off in unpredictable directions.

Next is the Nemo & Friends SeaRider. It is a simulator ride based on the Disney/Pixar film Finding Nemo and its sequel, Finding Dory. It’s a 4D theater style which we enjoyed. 🙂 I think this is my first time to get in this ride. I usually don’t ride 4D’s as it makes me feel dizzy.

Next is the Indiana Jones Adventure: Temple of the Crystal Skull. This is one of our highlights as everyone went in for the ride. Even the old ones dared to get in and never backed out (as we are already in the line). haha! Me? I was just planning to hand over some hotdog buns for the kids in the line, and was forced to get in with them. haha! 🙂

“Experience the temple tours organized by Paco, a friend of Dr. Indiana Jones. But wait. The temple’s vengeful guardian spirit, the Crystal Skull, is not happy about this at all. When the spirit’s anger is unleashed, will you get out alive!?” That was scary for me. But of course, fun!

Then we walked towards the Little Mermaid Lagoon. 🙂

Next is the ride with a flying fish over a tide pool, a kiddie roller coaster, but not all kiddie for me! haha. Ariel’s best friend, Flounder has come with all his flying fish friends. Everybody, line up and hop on for a soaring ride! Fly around the lagoon for a fun time.

Just look at the smiling faces of Sai and Andre. They all enjoyed the ride for sure. 🙂 Next, since Ate Rei is going back for the ride Center of the Earth, me, Papa Dave, and Sai rested and had some meals at the Vulcania Restaurant.

Then, we walked towards the other side of the map as they wanted to ride the Tower of Terror.

The Tower of Terror is too scary for us. So me, papa, and Sai decided to line up for our favorite, The Toy Story Mania. Ate Rei thought of riding the Tower of Terror at first but she backed out at the last minute. Maybe next time. haha!

As usual, since Toy Story Mania is a crowd favorite, we lined up for an hour. huhu. But indeed worth the wait. 🙂

I won the round this time. haha! The last time, I was on last place. It’s my first time to get a score higher than 100k.

We were not able to see the show at night by the Volcano. The time we finished our Toy Story ride, people are already starting to exit the park as it is now about to close. The fireworks show was unfortunately cancelled due to strong winds.

So we walked around the area and see how beautiful everything is with their night lights. I still have lots of photos but I just posted the decent ones. haha. It’s very difficult to take pictures at night. These photos I have can’t even give justice on how amazing and glamorous the night lights are.

And that is our whole day visit to Tokyo Disney Sea. Since we were not able to ride the new ones, we hope to do so on our next visit. haha! Manifesting… 🙂
