Our 327th entry in our digital diary is our trip to Wusheng Night Market in Tainan City, Taiwan.

Wusheng Night Market opened in 1984, making it the oldest night market in Tainan. It’s located at No. 42, Lane 69, Wusheng Road, West Central District, close to the city center, so it’s easy to reach on foot.

It’s a mobile night market, open only twice a week, Wednesdays and Saturdays, from around 6 PM to 1:30 AM. This limited schedule gives it a special, community vibe.

The market has about 250 stalls, offering food, fashion, electronics, and games. It’s compact and easy to navigate, unlike some of Taiwan’s larger night markets.

Wusheng Night Market is known for its old-school charm and family-friendly vibe. It’s less touristy than other markets, attracting mostly locals, students, and travelers who want an authentic experience.

It’s wheelchair accessible, has free parking nearby, and most transactions are cash-only, so bring New Taiwan Dollars.
