Our Trip to Taipei 101 Shopping Mall

Our 330th entry in our digital diary is first time visit to Taipei 101 Shopping Mall. Below are photos of our bus ride going to Taipei 101 from our first top of the day, the Vigo Kobo DIY Pineapple cakes.

We were supposed to go up the tall observatory building but the tour group collectively decided to spend lesser time here so that we will have a longer time exploring Ximending later.

Taipei 101 isn’t just a building, it’s a symbol of Taiwan’s rise in global innovation. It masterfully blends cultural symbolism, environmental responsibility, and advanced earthquake and wind-resistant engineering, while remaining a beloved tourist landmark and a source of civic pride.

The shopping mall occupies the lowest above‑ground floors of Taipei 101 and is known as a luxury multi-level retail center featuring global brands, restaurants, and lifestyle stores.

It includes fashion boutiques, watch brands, cosmetics, bookstores, restaurants, and an extensive food court, making it one of Taipei’s most complete shopping destinations.

And that is our quick stopover to see Taipei 101. It has 101 floors above ground and 5 basement levels. We hope to visit again someday and will surely go up its highest floor. hehe. 🙂
