Our Trip to Compass Globe

Our 353rd entry in our digital diay is our first time stay at Compass Globe, this is an AirBnb property in Karuizawa, Nagano, Japan. We booked this big place thinking that Tita Karen and family will join us in our winter fun in Karuizawa. Unfortunately, they had visa issues, so we still pushed through with our reservations and had the entire 3-bedroom house for ourselves. 🙂

Spacious 3-Bedroom Apartment. The property features a generous 90 m² layout with three bedrooms—equipped with 3 single beds in one room, 2 in another, and 3 in the third—comfortably accommodating up to 8 guests.

Excellent Guest Ratings. It boasts outstanding reviews across platforms: 9.7/10 for cleanliness, 9.5 for service, and 9.4 for location on Agoda (from 617 reviews), as well as a 9.3 overall score on Booking.com. We are so glad to find this place as it is very cozy against the very cold winter temperature outside.

Superb Amenities & Modern Comfort. Guests enjoy an array of conveniences including free Wi‑Fi, private parking, air-conditioning, express self-check‑in/check‑out, a fully equipped kitchen (coffee machine, microwave, oven), washing machine, flat‑screen TV with streaming options, and separate bathtub and shower.

Prime Location Near Transportation & Attractions. Located at 長倉3215‑5, it’s just a short 520 m walk from Nakakaruizawa Station, with easy access to Harunire Terrace, Stone Church, and other local sights. There is also a nearby 7/11 convenience store. We walked to Harunire Terrace, explored the place, and even joined a stargazing tour. 🙂

Free On‑Site Private Parking. The property includes complimentary private parking for multiple cars, often noted by guests as a convenient feature—many appreciating how close and accessible the spaces are. We do not have a car here so we just walked to and from the train station.
