Our Trip to Disney Discovery Reef

Our 356th entry in our digital diary is our first time trip to Disney Adventure’s Discovery Reef. 🙂

Themed Underwater Retreat. An open‑air, aerial grotto located at the back of the ship, Disney Discovery Reef immerses guests in beloved aquatic stories from The Little Mermaid, Finding Nemo, Lilo & Stitch, and Luca.

Variety of Dining & Drink Venues. Guests can enjoy a diverse collection of quick‑service spots including Stitch’s ’Ohana Grill (Hawaiian‑American eats), Cosmic Kebabs (Mediterranean‑style wraps), Bewitching Boba and Brews (Ursula‑themed bubble tea), as well as Taverna Portorosso coffee bar and Italian-themed options. We had our snacks at Cosmic Kebabs on our second day in the cruise.

Our favorite spot here is the Bewitching Boba and Brews (Ursula‑themed bubble tea). I ordered the one with avocado tentacles thingy and it was great. I would love to be here every day!
Day-to-Night Transformation. By day, the area is bathed in soft, filtered sunlight through colored glass canopies inspired by Finding Nemo. By night, dramatic lighting brings the space to life with a magical bioluminescent glow.

Open-Air, Multi-Level Design. The space spans two decks (Decks 10 and 11) and is totally open to the sky seven decks above. This design fosters a breezy, natural ambiance complete with coral‑reef décor and sunlight playing through glass structures. And of course, we always come here for our free drinks anytime! 🙂

Surrounded by Scenic Stateroom Views. Several staterooms overlook this vibrant area. Guests staying in these rooms can enjoy breathtaking views of the reef setting and its night-time glow right from their balconies.
