Our Trip to San Fransokyo Street

Our 360th entry in our digital diary is our first time trip to San Fransokyo Street aboard the Disney Adventure Cruise in Singapore. Inspired by Big Hero 6 – San Fransokyo Street is themed after the vibrant, futuristic city from Disney’s Big Hero 6, blending Japanese and San Francisco design elements.

Immersive city-street atmosphere – The area is designed to feel like a lively urban street, with neon-style signage, stylized architecture, and colorful details that bring the animated city to life.

Character experiences – Guests may encounter Big Hero 6 characters such as Baymax and Hiro, offering photo opportunities and interactive moments, especially for families.

Youth- and family-focused space – San Fransokyo Street is designed to appeal to kids, teens, and families, encouraging exploration, play, and casual hangouts rather than thrill rides. The street features a cinema where guests can relax and enjoy Disney films or curated entertainment, offering a quieter indoor space within the energetic district. We watched the Hoppers at the Baymax Cinema after checking out the area, for 3 times, to see if we still have seats. haha.

Located within Disney Imagination Garden zones – It is part of the broader themed entertainment areas onboard Disney Adventure, contributing to the ship’s immersive storytelling approach. Guests can participate in an interactive experience inspired by Hiro Hamada, where they engage in a tech-themed training activity, making them feel like part of the Big Hero 6 team. 🙂

Baymax Meetup Area – A special meet-and-greet spot allows guests to interact with Baymax, take photos, and enjoy a heartwarming character experience that’s especially popular with families. 🙂
