Our 366th entry in our digital diary is our second time visit to Universal Studios in Singapore. This is located on Sentosa Island – Universal Studios Singapore (USS) is part of Resorts World Sentosa, a major integrated resort.

Opened in 2010 – The park officially opened to the public on February 14, 2010.

Only Universal Studios in Southeast Asia – It is the region’s first and only Universal Studios theme park.

Compact but highly themed – Despite being smaller than other Universal parks, it is known for dense theming and walkable layout.

Seven themed zones – These include Hollywood, New York, Sci‑Fi City, Ancient Egypt, The Lost World, Far Far Away, and Minion Land.

Our first ride is the Transformers The Ride – A 3D dark ride combining motion simulation and large-scale visuals.

Ancient Egypt theme – Inspired by classic adventure films with pyramids, obelisks, and desert ruins.

Revenge of the Mummy – An indoor roller coaster combining special effects, fire, and high-speed drops. Only the brave ones dared to ride. Well, Ate Rei and Sai tried this 2 years ago and they are not coming back. haha! 🙂

After those thrilling rides, we are now ready for lunch. We went to The Lost World zone – Based on Jurassic Park and WaterWorld franchises.

Jurassic Park Rapids Adventure – A river raft ride with dinosaur encounters and a dramatic final drop. Unfortunately, this was closed when we walked in the area. We hope it will be opened later that day but it did not. Next time maybe!

Far Far Away zone – Dedicated to the Shrek franchise, featuring a fairy‑tale castle setting. They did the ride with puss in boots.

I also had fund with the Shrek 4‑D Adventure – Combines 3D visuals with physical effects like wind and motion.

Character meet-and-greets – Guests can meet Minions, Transformers, Shrek characters, and more.

Family-friendly attractions – Includes gentle rides and shows suitable for younger children.

Seasonal events – Hosts popular events such as Halloween Horror Nights and festive celebrations.

Dining themed to zones – Restaurants and food carts match the theme of each area.

Elmo’s TV Time is a gentle, kid-friendly ride in Universal Studios Singapore where guests join Elmo and his Sesame Street friends on a colorful indoor journey through New York City, featuring playful scenes, cheerful music, and familiar characters from Sesame Street.

Universal Studios Singapore features lively street shows and dancers that bring the park’s themed zones to life. Performers in colorful costumes appear throughout the day—especially in Hollywood and New York zones—dancing to upbeat music, interacting with guests, and creating a festive, energetic atmosphere. These pop-up performances often include themed routines inspired by movies and characters, making them a fun surprise while exploring the park.

Dragon’s Apprentice is a junior roller coaster in the Far Far Away zone where guests ride a playful dragon-inspired track, soaring gently around the castle with mild twists and turns—perfect for kids and those looking for a light, fun coaster experience. This is Sai’s favorite ride here.

The day at Universal Studios Singapore often ends with a spectacular fireworks show, lighting up the night sky with vibrant colors, music, and magical effects. Set against the park’s iconic backdrop, the show creates a memorable and heartwarming finale, leaving guests with a sense of wonder as they close out their adventure-filled day.

And that was our quick, one day visit to Singapore’s Universal Studios. We hope to be back again soon as we still have to get in the other rides. 🙂
