Our 167th entry in this blog is our first time trip to Museo ni Jose Rizal in Dapita, Zamboanga del Norte. I am glad Ate Rei and Sai already knows who this person is, our national hero. ๐

It is just very unfortunate that in this very new day in the new year of 2022, the museum is closed. Sad. So we just got to see the area from afar, from its gates. ๐
“The Museo ni Jose Rizal, Dapitan reflects Rizalโs life in exile through his personal memorabilia and correspondence with his family and friends, whom he missed dearly. Some of his most poignant letters were written in Dapitan. His nipa hut residence, clinic, school, dormitory, dam and waterworks are living testaments to Rizalโs expansive range of talents and his commitment to serve the country he loved.” -nhcp.gov.ph/museums/rizal-shrine-dapitan

The Museo ni Jose Rizal Dapitan has four galleries, Gallery 1 is his exile to Dapitan. Gallery 2 is his Scientific and Artistic Pursuits. Gallery 3 are his memories of Dapitan. and Gallery is his road to martyrdom. I really wished we can see all of these as I know Ate Rei and Sai will get to learn a lot, not just from their books, and know more about our own hero.

We also visited the site where he landed from his small boat. That was our quick peek to this museum, and we wish to go back soon, and make sure it is already open ๐
