Our Trip to Singapore

Our 368th entry in our digital diary is our second time trip to Singapore. Our first time visit here was just 2 years ago, in 2024, and now we are so excited to go back because we are exploring again Singapore, this time with Hearty, and not just that, we are going to board our first ever Disney Cruise – the Disney Adventure. yey!

We arrived at night already via Singapore Airlines which we boarded at 3pm from Cebu. We immediately had our dinner in the airport’s food court before going to our hotel in Bencoolen. This is also the same hotel we stayed 2 years ago. We love the place as it is very near the train station, a convenience store and a food court across the hotel street. Then, for the next day, we are going to board the Disney Cruise Ship. But we first went to the Marina Sands Mall to explore it a bit as we still have time before our scheduled boarding hour. 🙂

Then, our most awaited moment arrived. We boarded the huge Disney Adventure ship! We immediately went to the buffet area (Maximus restaurant) for our lunch meal. After that, we checked our room, and we explored the ship along with Hearty, Tita Karen and Tito Dou.

For our next day, our second day in the ship, we did the swimming and getting wet at the pool area and the wet slides. We were dressed (disneybounding) as the storm troopers of start wars. 🙂

We only got 3 days on the shop, so for our last full day, we explored the rides, the cinema, and the marvel shows. We are also dressed as the marvel heroes. 🙂

We enjoyed so much our stay at the Disney Adventure and it was sad to disembark the ship. We hope to go back cruising one day. But we are also excited to explore again Singapore. So for our 4th day in Singapore, right after disembarking from our cruise, we check in at the Hotel Mi Bencoolen, and immediately went to the Gardens By The Bay area.

This time, we visited the Cloud Forest (last time was the Flower Dome). We love the Jurassic World experience and the cool place of the cloud forest. After that, we had our lunch at the Jurassic Nest inside the Gardens By The Bay area.

After our lunch, we walked towards the train station and headed to Sentosa Island. We loved our experience before with the Luge ride and we would like Hearty to try it out.

It was so fun as we tried all of the routes of the Skyline Luge. After that, we had our dinner at the mall Vivo City. This is the mall where the train stations coming and going to Sentosa is. We ate the best chili crab! yum! 🙂

For our next day, our 5th full day in Singapore, we went to Universal Studios.

This has always been our favorite in Sentosa, and it never disappoints. We spent the entire day riding and eating. hehe 🙂 For our dinner, we ate at a pizza bar, I forgot that name, it was beside the Lego Store near the spinning globe of Universal Studios. Then we walked towards Vivo City via the Baywalk as the lines to the train station are so long.

Then, for our last full day, we went to the newly opened Rainforest Wild Asia. It was so hot that day but we still enjoyed the trek and the views inside this park.

Since we finished our trekking in the morning, we headed to the heart of Singapore in the afternoon, the Merlion statue. We also enjoyed eating their fried ice cream while walking along the river.

We then decided to have our last dinner at Lau Pa Sat. Lau Pa Sat is one of Singapore’s most iconic hawker centres, known for blending history, architecture, and great food.

Lau Pa Sat is especially famous for its satay stalls. In the evenings, Boon Tat Street is closed to traffic and turns into a lively Satay Street, where skewers are grilled over charcoal right in front of diners. Besides satay, you’ll find a wide variety of local dishes such as laksa, Hainanese chicken rice, char kway teow, and roti prata. Of course, we had the chili crab again. hehe 🙂

Our last day, we went to the airport as our flight back to Cebu is around lunch time. I was not able to take photos anymore inside the airport though. But I bought a perfect souvenir, a phone case that you can buy just from a vending machine. That was so cool.

And that was our week long visit to Singapore. We hope we can go back and board again the Disney Cruise. 🙂
